When you have a cavity, a filling can stop the spread of decay and strengthen the outer structure of your tooth. At Palm City Dentistry, we prefer tooth-colored composite fillings. Unlike traditional amalgam, this material blends with the natural shade of your smile. 

If your cavity is too large for a filling, but your tooth does not have enough damage to warrant a crown, the dentist will typically recommend an inlay or onlay. These custom-created porcelain restorations are placed on the biting surfaces of your molars, covering cavities and restoring your bite. 

Full mouth reconstruction is a uniquely personalized treatment. If you have extensive damage, you can choose two or more restorative procedures to renew your dental health. Dr. Aviles will help you select the optimal procedures, but he will never recommend more treatment than necessary.

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder occurs when your jaw joints become damaged or the nearby muscles and ligaments become inflamed. Once he understands the cause of your TMJ disorder, the doctor will recommend a nighttime orthotic, or splint, braces, or a combination of treatments.
