Am I a Candidate?
Candidates may include people dissatisfied with slipping traditional dentures or those planning several extractions. Dr. Aviles evaluates general health, oral health, recovery considerations, and jawbone density. The Planmeca ProMax® 3D scanner may help assess the bite and jawbone. Bone grafting or soft-tissue grafting may be considered when bone volume is insufficient.
Benefits
Implants can replace tooth roots, helping limit jawbone atrophy and supporting a natural-feeling result.
- Improved speech clarity
- A more fully restored diet
- Improved bite balance
- Improved facial appearance
- Long-term support for tooth loss
- Less shifting and fewer adjustment concerns than traditional dentures
How Are Implant-Retained Dentures Placed?
After local anesthesia and possible oral sedation, the implant posts are placed through small gum incisions. A temporary prosthesis may be provided. The typical treatment timeline described on the former site was approximately three to six months while osseointegration occurs. Impressions of the integrated implants and jaws are then sent to a laboratory, and Dr. Aviles checks the fit of the final custom denture.
Financing
The former site described CareCredit 12-month interest-free payment plans upon approval. Ask the office for current financing terms.
